Nerf Spectre REV-5- Worth it?

I have been wondering about when the Nerf Spectre REV-5 will be coming to Australia, along with many other assorted blasters. But then I thought- Why the hell would I actually buy one of these things? Seriously- it comes with a stupid folding stock that bends, a useless silencer attachment and only holds five darts- instead of the usual six of the Maverick. No one in their right mind would have a Nerf war with one of these things- you would be out of ammo in the first minute, and it would take three times as long as firing all the darts continuously, to actually reload the thing! Nerf really wasted their time and effort with this project. If anyone owns a Spectre REV-5 and likes it- please comment and explain why. I haven't actually held one, but I haven't heard a good review on one yet.

  1. PS

I would get it just for the folding stock to put on my Alpha Trooper CS-18. I do agree with your reload time and such, but the Pro's outweigh the Con's

  3. The only reason I would buy a spectre rev 5 is for the stock. Put it on a recon with a little paint job...Whamo! M4A1 carbine lookalike

  4. Apparently the Spectre is more powerful than the Maverick, and here in Aus, it's $5-10 more than a Maverick. It's also apparently more sleek, smaller and easier to use. If i had the money, and I found one, I would get a Spectre over a Maverick any day (maybe). Mind you, I don't have one. This is all from various websites.

  6. Now I DO have one, and I can say that I prefer it over the Maverick - it's only $10 more, and less people have it. It shoots further than a standard Maverick. The silencer looks awesome (but is relatively useless) ad the folding stock is useful on the Alpha Trooper/Raider. The Spectre is a lot thinner and more sleek than a Maverick, so it's easier to holster.
